Testimonials from a few of our hunters
"Just wanted to drop you a quick line. So much to say - but it would take writing a book. I know Mark speaks highly of you all, but I had no idea what Shane and I would get to experience. It was not just a hunting trip it was an experince of a lifetime. I loved seeing Shane having so much fun doing so many things. The hunting was great. As a firstime hunter I was a little nervous how Shane would do. As Denton quickly found out Shane can be a little restless and likes to do so many different things. However, Denton obviously knows kids (and how to hunt turkeys even better) and was able to bring this first time hunter (age 9) into the category of succesful hunter. He took two beautiful longbeards before our trip was even half over. Thank you Denton - you have a gift. Shane and I loved spending time with you. Best of luck with your house. P.S. -Shane is training to take you on in that wrestling match we talked about so you better not slack off on your down time. We will see who takes on the title of "Dork"!
"Now what do we do?" - No problem. Got to see things we don't have out east. Shane like seeing the Gar in the stream and got arrowhead on his brain when he saw your collection. We looked in the dirt in many places and found maybe one along with a bunch of fossils. Driving around was my favorate part, there were so many things to see and got to experience multiple "a litte taste of heaven on earth moments" and was often reminded about what really matters in life. Supplying us and directing us to the fishing holes was an added bonus. We are in your debt. You and "your family" made Shane and I feel right at home, you all went above and beyond what you had to do. I can honestly say I did not think of work for a moment - I really needed that. Last but not least - The food was great. Shane was in his glory with all the good desserts. I hope all is going well as things kick in. Be safe."
Sincerely, Shane and Paul Franson

"I'll be returning next year, bring my youngest son Kellen as he will have graduated college this coming spring. So again the O'Neills will have 2 coming if you have room. My son-in-law, Ben, would also like to join us if there is space open for him. I understand if he has to wait his turn on your waiting list.
You run a top notch operation and keeping the hunting pressure down and the number of hunters manageable is why you're good. So if Ben needs to wait, we get it. Although hunting is somewhat new to us, I've fished a lot before getting married and having kids so I've been around a few "sportsmen" camps. Kansas Paradise rates right at the top. As long as you keep it running, we'll be there.
Thanks again to you and the staff for working so hard to get Jake his deer. He'll most likely be back in grad school and won't be able to hunt for a few years. However he found an excellent program in Nebraska and has hinted he will try to get away since Kansas is so close. Thanks again and just let me know when I need to send off our deposits for next year."

"Thanks for the pics. And I can't thank you guys enough for the dream that came true for me!
Being a first generation hunter I had only the skills I self learned from my earlier success and failures. Thought maybe I was one of those guys that if I didn't have bad luck, I had no luck at all! Thank you Kurt, Mike and Nate for changing all that. Love u guys! Hunt hard and laugh a lot!!!!!! What a buck, a hunt full of memories we will have for a life time!
Thank you Rhonda for the awesome eats! You rock."

"It’s been more then a couple of weeks now since I have returned back to the daily grind of work and reality of life. What I can’t get out of my mind is the memories of the best hunting experience of my life. I have been hunting for over thirty two years in New York’s Catskill Region and have many great memories with family and friends, however; my short week with you guys keeps replaying in my head. When Nick first suggested that I accompany him on his annual trip to Kansas I knew It would be fun or at least something different. He assured me that Paradise Adventure's was the best outfitter out there, as he put it “your going to the best first and I don’t think you’ll ever find better”. I practiced with my bow for several months prior and after couple of adjustments from Nick I was set to shoot a monster Kansas Buck.
Upon our arrival you guys greeted us outside the Lodge and immediately made me feel welcome, we unpacked and were out in the Kansas woods before I knew it. I saw several deer the first night and it was hard going to sleep knowing now, first hand, how many deer I would be seeing over the next several days. On Tuesday evening Nate said, “take a look at this deer I captured on a trail cam, how would you like to get shot at him? “ Without hesitation I said I would love it. Well as fate would have it Jose and I flipped a coin as to where we would hunt that morning, I picked Maxwell’s and Jose went to Carters.
After a short time in the stand and three short bursts of the grunt call I saw him, by far the biggest deer of my life and he was coming right to me, but this time I would have to wait because he bedded down at sixty yards keeping a close eye on the field which was directly behind me. As I stood motionless for 2 1/2 hours, he finally stood up and walk directly away from me, I immediately texted Nate and asked him to come back to the lodge for warmer clothes as I was freezing. Within 30 minutes I was back in the stand. Once again, three short bursts with the grunt tube he was back in sight and heading right for me. Well the next 60 seconds is a blur but the part burnt in my memory is that I shot and hit the deer from the trail cam pictures Nate showed me the night before and he was on the ground 23 yards in front of me.
After a couple of seconds he was back on his feet and starting to move I fumbled for another arrow, however; I was still in shock. He ended up walking away from me and then I remembered what Nate told me, if you shot a deer call me first and stay in the stand. I immediately called Nate and tried to tell him that I hit a deer, I’m still not sure he totally understood me but he got the gest of the conversation. He told me not to fall out of the tree and to carefully climb down and someone would be there shortly. The excitement was overwhelming as I waited for Kurt and Nick to arrive, I explained what occurred as we headed back to the lodge to give the deer some time to lay down and expire. What made the short trip back to the lodge for sure a memory that will last a lifetime is that I saw the same excitement in both Nick’s and Kurt’s eyes.
After returning back to Maxwell’s and following the blood trail for what seemed to me like seconds the large spots of blood just stopped. We left for the evening and would return the next morning to look again. Nick had shot a deer the day before and we would set out the next morning to look for Nick’s deer first, he told me to listen for Crows as they would lead us to his deer. I said ok, thinking to myself he was a little crazy or something. We stopped the car in a field close to where Nick shot his deer, put the windows down and heard crows, within 30 minutes we found Nick’s deer, a quick call back to Kurt and we were all taking pictures and celebrating Nick’s Ten Pointer. Next we all headed back to Maxwell’s to look for my deer everyone gave it there very best to recover my deer, however; it was just not meant to be. I had gone from the highest of high to the lowest of lows two different times within 48 hours, shooting the biggest deer of my life with a bow, going back to the lodge empty handed, recovering Nick’s deer and once again looking for, but never finding my deer.
I guess, if the Lodge walls could talk there would be many stories like mine, but this one is mine and it was shared with some very special people that I will never forget. I want to thank each of you for making this hunting trip the best of my life and yes Nick was right again, I did in fact go to the best first and look forward to many more memories in the future."

"I just wanted to let you know I made it home ok. Doc came over to see the big boy within 15 minutes of me getting back. He was very impressed. I took the cape to the taxidermist today and we talked about doing a pedestal mount. I think its finally starting to sink in that I just harvested a WORLD CLASS WHITETAIL!!!! Thanks again for the hunt of a lifetime."

"Thank you for the opportunity not only to be able to hunt in Kansas in September, but also for letting me come back for another chance at my first buck. I appreciate the efforts you made to help me harvest it, and also your hospitality at camp. I enjoyed the excellent food and rooms.
During this trip, I have made several memories. Some of my favorite recollections include during the time Dad pointed out the deer behind us. While I was excitedly waiting, it finally moved in front so that I could see it. When I looked through the scope, I got my first good look at a buck! The shot was fairly decent at 140 yards, and I heard the buck crash shortly after. I also remember tracking the blood trail, checking it out, and seeing its weight and points. The gutting was also fun to watch. Of course, it was also nice to be able to sleep in, play pool, and hang around waiting to see if anyone else shot anything. Looking for Jerry’s deer was a good experience, too.
Thank you again for my stay in Kansas . Although I hope to be able to return someday, it probably will be harder to be able to get a bigger buck than this season!"

"I would like to once again thank you for the great time I had with you guys at Paradise Adventures. The lodge, meals and everyone at the camp were excellent, not to mention the deer hunting. It just wasn’t the same hunting at home after being in Kansas. I am spending a lot of time trying to find areas that hold some deer that are close to the bucks in Kansas. If I’m lucky, maybe I’ll find one. Thanks again for the great time."

"Just wanted to thank everyone at Paradise Adventures for a wonderful trip. This was my first hunting trip outside of Michigan. I would have never expected that I would shoot the biggest buck in my 20+ years of hunting white tail deer in the first 30 minutes of hunting. What a wonderful experience that was! The experience of watching my co-hunters in camp bringing in trophy bucks one after another will be a memory I will never forget. Thanks again to everyone, looking forward to next year."

"I just wanted to send a brief note to thank you for your hospitality during my visit to Kansas. My stay at Paradise Adventures was an unforgettable experience. I’ve already begun telling the stories to my friends and family here in Pennsylvania. I had a great time meeting you, your guides, and your guests, and getting to know you all. I’m vastly richer for the new friends I made, both in the field and at the camphouse. I can’t wait until I am able to return to hunt with you again. I’ll definitely be in touch to book upcoming deer and turkey hunts."

"Our hunt could not have ended or been any better than it was. I appreciate the hospitality and hard work your family put forth during our stay. My clients really enjoyed their stay and were surprised by the quality of hunting in Kansas. Also, thank you for the turkey vest I will look forward to using it next season. I will be in touch! Keep up the good work!"

"As I watch out the back of my house every night and realize we’re only 6 months away from another hunt, my blood starts boiling in the hopes of another Monster Kansas Buck!! Hopefully it’s my time to be the top dog! Ruff! But honestly getting a big buck is any one of our dreams; however, meeting and getting to know people like you, Mike and your families is one of the best treasures and experiences I have taken back from Altoona, KS."

"Just a short note to tell you how much I enjoyed my visit to Paradise Adventures. Everyone was open and friendly and made me feel very welcome. I was especially thrilled at getting my very first two eastern turkeys. Your guides were patient and extremely helpful and very skilled at getting the turkeys to come in! Many thanks for a wonderful visit!"

"Thank you for your time helping my brother and I hunt turkeys. I really appreciate the effort you put in to make sure we had a successful hunt. There were a lot of things I enjoyed about our trip to Paradise Adventures such as landscaping, the scenery, and of course the wildlife. We will almost certainly come again next year, maybe bringing one of my sisters too."
