Licenses and Tag Fees
Licenses and Tag Fees are paid to the State.
Anyone born after July 1, 1957 must have a Hunter Education # to obtain a Kansas Hunting License.



This Information is about Hunting License, Deer Tag and Turkey Tag fees. Prices shown are for non-residents. Residents should visit the Kansas Dept. of Wildlife and Parks web site for pricing.

You must have a valid Kansas Hunting license and correct tag in possession to hunt. For all State Fees and or Regulations we are now linked to the Kansas Dept. of Wildlife and Parks web site so all you need to do is click here and it will take you directly to the page you need. The State Fees and Regulations change periodically so the best way to keep you up to date is to get it directly from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.

Deer Tag (2008, $322.00)
Tags are acquired by a lottery drawing and there are specific deadlines you must meet.
To apply for a tag first contact me for unit #.
Apps must be applied for in May and can be done by phone, online, or mail.
Drawing results will be posted on their web site after July 1.

Turkey Tag (2008, first tag $32.50, all additional tags $22.50.)
2 Tags are available for the spring season. (Bearded bird only)
4 Tags are available for the fall season. (Either sex)
Tags may be purchased as soon as available for that specific season (fall or spring) through the KDWP, by phone, online, or mail.

Predator Hunts
For coyote you only need a Kansas Hunting License.
To take a Bobcat you must have Kansas Hunting License and a Non-resident fur harvester’s license. The cat must be tagged within 24 hours after the kill by a KDWP officer.
