Kevin Olson's Deer Hunt - Sept. 2008

Well, I'm not sure I can adequately thank all of you who were involved in my latest hunting adventure, but I'll try. Let me start by saying, "I can't believe so many people would care enough about helping me (and Kurt) do something like this."

In these days where everyone seems to be looking out for themselves, it's nice to know that our country is filled with good-hearted folks who care enough about complete strangers to want to enchance their quality of life by enabling them to have some fun experiences. And to those of you who helped me go hunting, that's what you did. You enabled me to have a fun experience. So, thank you, thank you, thank you! It really was great being out on my Grandpa's farm with Kurt, Mom, Dad, and one of my caregivers. I wish you all could've experienced it along side us, so we did the next best thing and made 5 videos you can watch. I figure if a picture is worth a thousand words, a video must be about 10,000.

So, click on the links below, sit back and enjoy the adventure. I hope you enjoy it half as much as I did and I hope it gives you "deer fever."

Target Practice and Day One - With mom in the Redneck RV, several does and one nice buck pay us a visit.

Day Two - Dad joined us and once again, several does and one nice buck pay us a visit. I take a shot at one doe, but somehow miss.

Day Three - Take a look at the Redneck RV and watch as Kurt gets me ready to hunt on Day 3.

Day Five - Watch as I get my first deer. Before you get to see the deer, I put about a minute and a half's worth of footage showing you what it was like riding in the Redneck RV out to our spot. Hang on and enjoy the ride!

Day Six and Seven - Watch as a doe and her fawn play a while, then come over to say "hi." At one point they actually step on the metal ramp I use to drive into the Redneck RV.
